Returning from the holiday, the team at TVSquared was greeted by 2016 with record-setting data volumes. Sure, it was record setting for TVSquared, but when put into context, it?s, for lack of a better phrase, pretty darn cool.
On Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, TVSquared experienced approximately 130 million page hits from our website. At peak rate, there were 158,000 hits per minute (more than 2,500 per second) for a sustained period of time.
If we equate these stats to page impressions on other sites, TVSquared would be ranked in the 30s on Alexa?s ?Top 500 Global Sites? list. TVSquared would be ahead of sites like Microsoft.com (~60M pages/day*) and PayPal.com (~70M pages/day*). And while TVSquared is still a bit behind eBay.com (~190M pages/day*), given our growth trajectory, we expect to overtake it by Q2 or Q3.
While this is not exactly an apples-for-apples comparison, we think it is an accurate representation of the industry?s glaring need for same-day TV attribution ? and the fact that TVSquared is growing at a rapid-fire pace.
